How To Remove Your Belt

Are you curious about how to undo a ratchet belt? You’re in the right place. The Arnsworth interchangeable belt system is elegant in its simplicity, so learning how to take off a belt without holes is a hassle-free affair.

Our Simple & Straightforward Approach to Sizing

Arnsworth straps come in one 55-inch length that accommodates waist sizes up to 50 inches. They feature 30+ adjustment points so you can micro-cinch it to just the right fit, not too loose or too tight. If you don’t require the full 55-inch length, you can simply cut the strap to your exact size using an ordinary pair of household scissors.

How the Sliding Mechanism Works

Once you understand how our innovative ratchet belts work, you’ll be able to put on and remove your Arnsworth belt with ease.

  • Arnsworth belts start as two independent pieces: the buckle and the strap
  • The buckle has two important components: a latch on the back and a release lever at the bottom.
  • The latch is for connecting the strap to the buckle.
  • The release lever is for unlocking the strap when you’re ready to remove your belt.

How to Undo a Ratchet Belt

When you slide the strap into the buckle as shown in our How It Works video, the inside of the buckle latches onto one of the 30+ adjustment points, locking the strap in its position so it can’t slide out.

The release lever unlocks the buckle from the adjustment points, allowing the strap to slide freely.

  1. Hold the buckle in place with your left hand.
  2. With your right hand, gently press the strap into the buckle.
  3. With your left hand’s index finger, pull the release lever located at the bottom of the buckle.
  4. Slide the strap out of the buckle.
